Black Eyed Susan Pics in Photoshop Elements

(¯` '•.¸ \ / ¸.•'´¯)(¯` '•.¸ \ / ¸.•'´¯)(¯` '•.¸ \ / ¸.•'´¯)(¯` '•.¸ \ / ¸.•'´¯)

My eye was drawn to the Black Eyed Susan's again! I love the very bright color! I had a few minutes to play around in Photoshop Elements and came up with some interesting versions of the same flower. It is going to be very hot today......about 85 as the high! It's going to rain tomorrow and the high will only be about 71. I guess it won't be a good day for painting the house.

Beautiful earrings for pierced ears. The flashing glass stones are displaying predominantly blue and green colors with a hint of purple depending on the light/angle. This brass is nickel and lead free.

Bird Dog Jazzy - Not!

.•:*¨¨*:•..•:*¨¨*:•..•:*¨¨*:•..•:*¨¨*:•..•:*¨¨*:•..•:*¨¨*:•.

Well I knew it was going to rain and it did! The sunflowers really shot over the top of the fence in the last couple of days. I see flowers forming! I was outside taking pictures of my jewelry and looked over and laughed.....Jazzy was definitely pointing at something!

Old Pic of Landon in a Canoe

This is a much older picture of Landon on a Saturday afternoon canoe trip. I have a sinus headache today and I don't feel like doing anything! Who needs weather forecasting? When I get a headache, I know it is going to rain within a day or two!

House painting pictures

Here's the front of the house. The entire outside is going to get painted eventually! There was lots of trim work in this area to do. That's my husband in the pic. He is so handy! Today it is raining so not much can be done. We really need the rain, so I am not going to complain.

I listed this vintage demi parure in my shop today. It's very glitzy!

Sunflowers are still growing!

Well, the sunflowers are above the fence posts now. I can't wait until they bloom! So pretty! We had them here last year and they looked incredible. Last night we harvested three ripe tomatoes from the garden and had our first BLT sandwiches. They were delicious! We have been having salads using the lettuce from the garden. Landon also picked a hot pepper and sampled it. It was extremely hot! I prefer the red sweet peppers myself. It thundered for hours in the evening yesterday but all that we got were a few sprinkles. Just five minutes from my house, my husband sad it was pouring buckets!

More Photoshop Elements

•._.•´¯`•._.•´¯`•.•._.•´¯`•._.•´¯`•.•._.•´¯`•._.•´¯`•.
I had some time last night to play again with layers in Photoshop Elements. The first picture is a favorite pic of Jazzy. I think she was almost a year old in this one. She has a pretty sparkle in her eyes! The second picture is Mo-Jo at about seven weeks old. He had a blue tag when he was with his litter to identify him. We called him Mr. Blue before he came home. My oldest son named him Mo-Jo.•._.•´¯`•._.•´¯`•.•._.•´¯`•._.•´¯`•.•._.•´¯`•._.•´¯`•.

On a personal note....I had to pick up Landon last night and when we got home, I went in and geared up the shepherds for a quick walk. We got to the park and I realized that I hadn't switched my flip flops to tennis shoes. I so did not want to go flip flopping around the park! So, I just kicked them off and went barefoot!

Vintage Costume Jewelry

:¦:-••-:¦:-••-:¦:-••-:¦:-••-:¦:-••-:¦:-••-:¦

I have been adding some vintage costume jewelry to my shop that I have been meaning to add for some time. I have some really nice pieces of the past to list. Last week I listed some fine, gemstone rings. I used to go to estate sales and auction houses quite a bit. If you have never been to one, you should go.....they are lots and lots of fun! I have always preferred vintage pieces over modern pieces. I think that shows when you look at my brass and glass designs.

It is supposed to rain here today but so far nothing. Painting has begun on the outside of the house. There is so much prep work that has been and needs to be done. Tasks like cleaning the house, scraping off old paint, repair work and more. Landon is out there right now helping his dad! I'm inside working so I don't have to paint......for now!

Sammie or Sam

This is Sammie or Sam. She is my sister-in-law's German shepherd. Mo-Jo loves to play with her when she comes over or he goes over to her house. When they were younger, I had to separate the two of them as they just wouldn't stop playing around! I had her one time while Jo went on a trip for a couple of days. When Sammie got home, Jo said that she slept quite a bit for a day or so after her visit! Sammie is now eight. I took this picture a couple of years ago.

Two Dogs and a Cat!

Here is something that I have never captured before.....all three critters in one picture! Jazzy (age 3) likes to cuddle as you can see her with Mo-Jo (almost age 4). Mikey on the right is 17 years old.

Listed this today in my store. Using the driftwood that we found on one of our walks on the back side of Hoover Dam.

Bathroom Makeover Pictures

These are the pictures of the downstairs bathroom that I have mentioned before that my husband has worked on. It went from an off-white to this Red Delicious color with white accents. The ceiling was repaired and painted too. All that is left to do in this room is the floor......ran out of money for now. Finding what we needed at Habitat for Humanity really saved some money here and of course my husband is handy! The paint was one of the bigger expenses.

New bathroom sink and counter top. The sink is all porcelain with brass and porcelain knobs. The sink cost was $25. The counter top $5. New hole had to be cut for this sink and piece cut down to size. We used the existing splash guards. The counter top has a nice oak trim on it.

New mirror/cabinet with light. Cost $21. It had to be cleaned and then a coat of polyurethane was added after it was sanded. Some straightening was done on the back of this with glue and clamps I believe. The left side was also damaged and we bought a piece of wood to fix...$1. I found these low watt bulbs at The Home Depot. I don't have the entire piece pictured but it has three sections that open up. It looks a thousand times better than what was in here. That cabinet was probably original to the house.

New white blind $2. I already had the white, ruffled sham from another window. It was exactly what I wanted for this room.

Wednesday

This is how it looked the day after the 4th of July. Our 4th had this annoying light sprinkles during the whole time that we were outside. Sunday's weather would have been perfect! The days this week have been in the low 80's but the nights in the 50's.......great sleeping weather. My husband's birthday is tomorrow but we might celebrate tonight as he has to work tomorrow. Since the bathroom is done for now, he has started to scrub and scrape the outside of the house down as it is due desperately for a painting. His long extension ladder just makes it. It will be close. We have a four level split and there are places where it's just not flat enough to put a ladder. It should be interesting! He plans to scrap the wooden part at the top from the roof!

Listed this vintage filigree amethyst ring today.

And More 4th of July Pics!

Kyle giving Mo-Jo "The Look".

Landon getting ready for the squirt gun battle!

Mo-Jo.....Play ball, play ball, play ball! You don't see Jazzy in any of these pictures as she opted to stay in the house most of the time due to all of the usual 4th of July sounds that could be heard!

Just listed this 10K yellow gold fire opal cluster ring today. It is gorgeous!

4th of July was Rainy!

We have a very, very light sprinkles yesterday from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. but that didn't stop us. We cooked out and had a good time under the patio umbrella. We did Teriyaki Kabobs that I marinated for a couple of days. They even had mini bella mushrooms! Yum! The corn on the cob was great and so what the potato salad and fresh veggies. The boys got into a giant squirt gun battle. More pics tomorrow! I need to play around with the shutter settings on my camera but these are still interesting pictures.

It's Friday!

This is an old picture that one of the boys took while we were driving home from my sister's house in Hidaway Hills. I have a custom order to work on. I am working on seven pairs of bridal earrings. I also need to work on another saphiret bracelet if I can find the time. I went to the post office today as I had to mail a couple of packages to Japan. There was only one clerk again and I had to wait in line fifteen minutes. Must be the cutbacks? The line was as long as it usually is at Christmas time. It's another great day out......will be in the 70's......my kind of weather!
