Fuji Apple Picking
C and I were off to the apple orchard today as Landon is off to Kentucky backpacking this weekend. Here are the furry kids! They love going to the orchard as well and were very well behaved. I took lots of pictures out of the car on the way home. Hope to post them later as I edit them. My hair was a rats nest! I haven't had it tangled that bad in years! We had just a nice time picking the delicious Fuji apples. They are every one's favorite.

Merry Christmas Week
This is just one of my favorite pictures of Mo-Jo. It was taken two years ago when he was two. I used a point and shoot camera. I would like to do another one this year with my DSLR camera but we are just getting our first actual snow and it's just a light dusting so far. Busy today making potato water biscuits and apple pie for a family party. The house smells like cinnamon and spice!

Experimental Photography
As part of Landon's experimental picture project last week, here is Mo-Jo in motion. He's moving fast and Landon is also moving the camera on purpose and angling it down for a more interesting perspective.

Landon is working on his experimental shots this week. He will be breaking the photography composition and technical rules. He took a picture of Mo-Jo and I this afternoon using some creative cropping. He performed a great job of capturing the moment.....I ♥ this big, furry boy lots! I used his photo and made modifications of mine own in Photoshop Elements. I think he is really going to have fun with this assignment!

Somewhat of a Silhouette

Here is somewhat of a silhouette shot of Mo-Jo. I like these kinds of pictures for some reason. This one has just a wee bit of highlights and detail to make it interesting. The blue water background has one of my favorite shades of blue. My favorite colors are blue and purple.My husband is still working on the house in between working. Today he put up one of the newly painted gutters. We are expecting rain after midnight. Because of the rain, the apple orchard opened up yesterday and today for Fuji and Winesap apples. Landon and I went out to the orchard again yesterday and picked up another 20 lbs. Last night I made apple raisin scones using one of each of these apples......love them!

Action Photo's Cont'd.
Just another action shot of Mo-Jo on the back side of Hoover Dam. He has been retrieving his favorite Frisbee in all of these pics. The Fall colors were gorgeous this weekend but I'm not sure if we are at our peak yet?
