Looking at Older Pics
Well, here is another favorite pic! It was summer and had just rained. This is on our front porch where we love to sit in the summer when it rains. That wicker rocker that you see was originally in Landon's room when he was a baby and I would rock him to sleep in it. I really love rocking chairs.....lots! Every thing is so green and the flowers have such vibrant colors! That's a wee little Locust tree that Landon potted. It's going to rain here tomorrow and be in the 40's so this picture has me feeling a little bit warmer!

World's Smallest Apple?
I love going through my family albums! This pic is from one of my digital albums. It's Landon's hand holding a very, very, very small apple. Looks like he had a micro bite! We still have apples stored in the refrigerator from fall. We put them in plastic bags and spritz them with water and seal the bags shut. Depending on the type of apple, they usually keep until about the end of March. My family just loves apples!

Who Took This Interesting Picture?
I was copying over digital pictures from old floppy disks the other day and came upon this interesting picture. I have no idea who took it???
This is what I do know about this picture.....it is our old ceiling fan in the living room. We really liked it with its pretty etched glass. The motor died one day....sigh. My husband still has all of the parts stored down in the basement unless he has thrown it out as he is currently reorganizing the basement and garage.
The fan and the blades are white so somebody must have been playing with the special effects on my old camera. Looks like they shot it at an interesting angle too!

It's Spring......Let's Throw the Baseball!
Kyle and Landon got in some quality baseball time last night. Mo-Jo helped retrieve the stray balls! After practice, Landon built a fire and roasted hot dogs! It felt good by the fire as its still a bit chilly at night! We are expecting rain tonight and possibly through the weekend.

Brass and Harlequin Blue Green Opal Glass Earrings
Luminous Pacific
Last week I worked on three pairs of floral earrings. This is the first pair that I have listed.
On a personal note: I have been working with Mo-Jo, my male GSD with a Halti Head Collar. I am happy to report that is doing an incredible job with it. I have purchased one for Jazzy, my female GSD and will start working with her when it arrives.

On a personal note: I was going to take my husband's van to the grocery store this morning. It would turn on and idle but when put in drive or reverse, it died every time! It may be a fuel pump or filter? Anyways, he had to go to work so he took my van. I will have to borrow my older son's car to take Landon to his boy scout meeting tonight. The joy of owing older cars!

Mo-Jo, Jazzy & Mo-Jo
This is one of my husband's favorite pictures of Mo-Jo as a puppy. His ears were up but leaning to the middle somewhat! What a cutie!

Picture from 3-8-08 Winter Snow Storm in Ohio
This picture was taken March 8, 2008. I remembered that we had an amazing snow storm last year in March. I can't remember the exact accumulation but it was lots as you can see from our patio table. It took the boys hours to shovel the drive and sidewalk. It was a fun snow as it was packable. I guess we have been lucky this March?.......so far because I remember a little blizzard in April years ago when Kyle (oldest) was little. Today is sunny and chilly.

Karma - Brass Filigree Wrapped Harlequin Fire Opal Glass Necklace
♥Karma♥
This is a stunning brass and glass necklace destined for happiness and new life experiences!
On a personal note, it has been in the 40's during the day and the 20's at night for the last couple of days. Landon (youngest) was wearing shorts the day before that....mid 70's! That's winter in Ohio for you. Today when I was walking the doggies, I had my earmuffs on over my MP3 player ear buds! I need high energy music to walk high energy dogs! Kyle (oldest) bought me a Sansa SanDisk for Christmas and I love it lots!

Jewelry Display
I found this little creation in a thrift store. It has lots of curly hooks to hang earrings and such. You might see it or part of it in my pictures for my Etsy shop. I am always looking for props and things. I have even used some of my sons' rocks from their collections! I also like to use little bits and pieces of potpourri.....looks very interesting when photographed. I really try to do white backgrounds as much as possible but the part of me that craves color sometimes goes wild! Have to keep that in check!

Pizza Night! Handmade from Scratch!
Well tonight was pizza night! Yum! Last night I prepared the dough from scratch. I make dough at one time for two pizza's and one loaf of bread. The loaf of bread was eaten last night straight out of the oven. It was slathered in butter. Fresh bread out of the oven has to be one of the most divine experiences! Everyone here gets four large pieces of pizza. I am really to the point where three pizza's would be nice......two large size sons and one husband can do major damage to only two large pizza's! Of course, I get my share too! The picture shows the pizza's before going into the oven. Everyone here likes a medium, crisp crust. I bake my pizza on a round, clay, baking sheet. The last thing that I do is give each pizza a spritzing of dark balsamic vinegar....it gives it a real nice tang and we like it lots! In the summer, when we have our garden, everyone likes a layer of fresh tomato slices over the sauce underneath the cheese. I like a mix of Mozzarella, Provolone, and Parmesan cheese too!

It's Just The Guys.....Except Hannah!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is one of my favorite pictures. It was taken a couple of years ago. In this picture are my two sons, my husband, Mo-Jo puppy and our sweet Hannah. We sure do miss you Hannah. You were a good sub mommy for Mo-Jo. It was a gorgeous, crisp fall day! We are on the other side of Hoover Dam. Nowadays, Landon is as tall as Kyle. They both tower over me at around 6'2"! I played around with this picture and made this copy into a sepia as I love that old, retro feel.
More Pets - Bufo - Landon's Toad!
Besides having two German shepherds and one very old cat, Bufo was once part of our pet family. Bufo was an American Toad (Bufo americana). He was originally part of my son's science project when he was in the gifted Science and Math program in grades 2 - 5. During Christmas break and Spring break, my husband and I would go to Landon's school where he went one day a week. We would gather up Bufo and friends in their HEAVY tanks and take them home over the breaks. Eventually, at the end of 5th grade, Bufo came home to our house permanently. I can't tell you how many nights that we would walk the dogs over to the fields to find crickets for Bufo! And of course, during the winter, we made frequent trips to the pet store for Bufo's chow! Well.... Bufo passed away a few years ago but he has a marker out in the herb garden that Landon carved. I found this picture in one of my folders. Landon was the photographer. Now the boys are talking about a pet rat!
